⚾ Coach & Team Manager Requirements

Who Must Complete This?

Team Managers, Head Coaches, and Assistant Coaches (required each season).


Step 1: Register Online

You must register online below before participating in any practices or games.


Step 2: Complete a Background Check

TBSA uses Shawnee County Parks & Recreation’s official background screening vendor (NCSI), as we contract with Shawnee County for use of Dornwood Park facilities.

All required volunteers must complete an annual screening through this provider.

Selecting “Next” will begin the background check application process.


IMPORTANT

After completing your screening:

  • Save your confirmation email.

  • Be prepared to provide proof upon request.

No coach or team manager may participate until both registration and background check requirements are complete.


Why This Is Required

Background screenings are required for:

  • Player safety

  • League protection

  • Compliance with Shawnee County Parks & Recreation

  • Insurance standards
